High school students today are expected to navigate an increasingly rigorous college admissions process, all while maintaining their balance between academics, athletics and extra-curriculars. This can be a chaotic experience for students and families. Is there a way to avoid the stress?

I believe YES!

The process begins with your child choosing the right extra curricular activities and academic focus to create the most valuable experiences, and then approaching the college process with an open mind, a great plan, and an organized time line. There is no reason that realistic goals can not be accomplished.

My daughter is a student athlete at Pomona College where she is a Politics major and Classics minor. My son is a freshman at the University of Michigan and a walk-on to the Men’s Rowing team. Both of my children attended private school in New York City. With thoughtful, strategic planning and a positive voice guiding them through the maze of chaos, they were able to achieve their goals.

I am also a college advisor at a small school in the Bronx, NY, assisting seniors with their Common Applications, essay writing, and sticking to their time lines.
